Bangjangsan Recreation Forest

We went camping again. It's our second time to Bangjangsan Recreation Forest. The first one was on Chuseok. The time when there were not many campers and ajassideul (old guys) were already drunk. They made much noise so we decided to leave the camp site. But today, it's perfect. Not so many campers because it's still cold.

The campers were quiet and it was too bright at night. We didn't need to turn on our lamp because the light refects in our tent. Whie sitting on one of the empty decks next to ours, I saw this squirrel in its house coming in and out. It's so cute!

It also has a wonderful road. You don't need to climb up the mountain to take a walk because following the road is already an interesting things to do.

There's also a seminar room that looks so nice.

In the garden are lots of beautiful flowers. Ah, it's a really wonderful camp site.

There's also an open air learning or studying area.

Bangjangsan Recreation Forest has a nice and clean restroom and wash area. The water is also clean that you can use it as drinking water.

Hwemunsan Recreation Forest

Hwemunsan Recreation Forest is located in Jeollabukdo Sunchang-gun Gurim-myeon Anjeongri San3-1. It's still cold and some of the recreation forest are closed. Some of them will be opened on May because there are not many people going camping in cold weather.

Look! We were alone. Nobody was on the camp site except us.

The recreation forest has a great view. There's a bridge over the spring and near the mountain. It's a great place for a scenic view.

I think you can also climb up to the mountain going to this rest house but we didn't choose to because it was too cold.

A bench where you can take a rest or take pictures of a wonderful view of the mountain.

The beautiful mountain.

The waterfalls from the mountain rock.

If you don't have a tent, you can stay there by renting a guesthouse.

The roads from the camp site.

Well, I can say that the view is great but not the camping site. I don't like the old style bathroom. It's dirty and too small. Not advisable to stay here in the summer when there are many campers specially for those who have kids. You'll have trouble with the bathroom.

I wish they could make a good bathroom so that I can go back there for a nice camp.

Waryong Natural Recreation Forest

We went to Waryong Natural Recreation Forest located in Jangsu County Cheoncheonmyeon in Waryong Mountain to spend our vacation, as what I've said on my previous post. Here's what we prepared for our three days and two nights vacation in the famous Recreation Forest.

Waryong Natural Recreation Forest is the best recreation forest that I've been so far.

Why is it the best? Because of the swimming pool and watersled. Can you imagine swimming at the mountain? At Waryong Recreation Forest, there is a swimming pool (suyongjang) with slide that kids can enjoy.

And watersled (ssolmejang). But adults have to pay 6,000won ($5) and 4,000won ($3.5) for children for 3 hours. It's open from 10a.m.-1:00p.m. and 2:00 - 5:00p.m.

We set up our tent at the third camp. It is the highest campsite. You have to climb up the mountain. The payment is 5,000won on the ground and 10,000won if you set the tent on the deck. It's better to choose the deck just in case that it will rain. Here's the deck.

Our tent next to the valley.

And the bathroom and washing area.

Oh, there are mushrooms near our tent. They look good but poisonous?

Wait! We are starving. Let me cook for a while. At night, we went out to hang around Jangsu downtown and bought BHC chicken for dinner.

If you don't have a tent, then you can rent a treehut from 30,000won ($25) - 150,000 won ($120), depends on the size from 13.2 - 59.5 square meters.

There's also a training or seminar room (40-50 persons) for 300,000won ($250).

I'll tell you our next adventure on my next post.

Anyang-san Recreation Forest Accommodation

We didn't have any plan last New Year's Day but my hubby said that we had to do something special on that day. We didn't know where to go. But before that day, we thought of going camping. It's winter but we wanted to experience how to sleep in the tent in winter. We have sleeping bags and we planned to bring some thick blankets. But we changed our plan because of the snow. It snowed a lot before that day.

My hubby googled about the Recreation Forest and Anyang-san Recreation Forest in Hwasun appeared so he called there and asked for the accomodation. It's not expensive so he made a reservation and started to pack our things.

Here's the cabin where we stayed for 2 days and 1 night. There are lots of cabins built logs produced from Anyang-san (Mt. Anyang). We didn't expect many people there but when we walk around at night, we saw lots of people having barbecue outside. My hubby and I just made barbecue inside using fry pan and stove because it was too cold.

There are grills to use for barbecue and wooden couch outside but we didn't use them. I played snow ball fight with my hubby so I used the snow from the bed.

Here's what's inside the cabin. There's a small refrigerator, closet, rice cooker, tv and my hubby never forget to bring his xbox to play during the night.

Here's the kitchen and on the right is the bathroom.

Outside is a playground. There are swings and slides and even basketball court and soccer if you like sports.

Next, i'm gonna show you the Recreation Forest.

Edited: Here's what i'm talking about. The Hwasun Recreation Forest.

Jangsu Recreation Forest

I told you, i'd be away for 3 days and 2 nights but again the plan was changed. We came home last night and that's better I think because when I woke this morning, (around 10a.m.) it was raining. The plan changed not because of the weather but because of the Recreation forest that we've been to. First we went to Jangsu Recreation Forest. If you know the program, 일박 이일 (2 days and 1 night) starring Lee Seung Gi, Kang Ho Dong, Mc Mong, Kim C, Lee Soo Geun and Eun Ji Won, you may be familiar of the place because they took some film in Jangsu.

Jangsu is famous of its delicious apples so you'll see lots of apples planted in the farm which is just by the road. My hubby wanted to buy some but we still have many apples in the refrigerator that we received last "Chuseok" (Thanksgiving Day)!

There are also these art of apples which is a sign of delicious apples in Jangsu.

And here's the Recreation Forest in Jangsu which is big and was already crowded by people when we arrived there.

We stayed there for a short time and then we decided to leave the place. We were going to the Recreation Forest to get enough rest, enjoy the nature and relax. We thought it wasn't the right place for us because the place was crowded with many kids and the tents were built anywhere. Unlike other Recreation forest that we've been to, there are areas where you can set up your tent but here in Jangsu, people will choose and cover the area as big as they want. And the one who's next to us built two tents. Just wondering if he paid for two. Anyway, we left the place and went to Muju. And that's for my next post. hehe...

Bangjangsan Recreation Forest

It was a holiday last Friday because of Liberation Day. We just stayed home all day long so we've decided to go out on Saturday morning. As what I have said here, our next camp would be next month but because it rained last Friday so we thought it was the perfect weather for a camp.

We arrived at the campsite around 10 a.m. and the place was already crowded. There were many people waiting for others to leave so that they can get a better place. Unluckily, there was no place for us at the deck area to build the tent so we had no choice but to use the wet grass area. We wanted to go home but we were already there, besides the area is cool and great for a picnic, the reason why there were many people from the morning.

Instead of going home, we asked some newspaper at the information office and covered the ground. We had a great time here at the mountainous campsite.

Except from mountain climbing, there are also lots of fun things to do here. There are swimming pools, playground, valley, or just feel and sniff the fresh air at the forest.

Here are the tents from the deck area, grass area and near the swimming pools.

And here's where we can wash the dishes.

We left the campsite early morning because my sister in law called on Saturday night and said she's coming to our house with her friend who got married when we were in Australia. We felt sorry for her so it's time to treat her and also time to meet her husband.
