Sunchang Gochujang Village

Last Saturday, my mother in law brought some kimchi. She stayed here until dark. Before she left she said that she wanted to go out to get some fresh air. When i asked where she wanted to go, she said she doesn't have anything in mind so i suddenly thought of Sunchang. I know she would like it because i've been there once with my hubby.

The next day, i got up early to make kimbap, prepared snacks and we went to Sunchang Village. Sunchang's claim to fame is its red pepper paste or gochujang, which is supposed to be distinct from other recipes. The governor of the county puts his personal seal of approval on it to make it authentic Sunchang Gochujang.

Here's the village.

Most people (if not all) live there are selling fermented food made of gochujang. As we enter the place, we see big pots in every houses.

Then hajuma grab us to the store and told us to have a taste of their delicacies.

Although we didn't have any plan to buy but after tasting it, we came out carrying this deodeog and mu u.
