Let's Pick Baseballs

We found lots of baseball balls in Namhae Sports Park the last time that we went there. We were finding the parking lot when we saw that there are players playing baseball at the park. My hubby who loves baseball told me to watch them playing so after parking his car, we headed to the baseball park. On our way to the park, I saw a ball lying on the grass. A few steps away, I saw another one. Then, another one! And another one! My hubby was so happy with the baseballs so I told him to find balls, instead. He laughed and because of those smiles and happiness that I saw, I was encouraged to search more balls and after a few minutes, I have lots of balls in my bag. The balls that the player made homerun and went out of the park. Here are the balls.

I can find more if we stay there longer and if I have a bigger bag. haha... But my hubby told me that we can't bring them. Some players will go out later and find for the balls so I told him to leave the area so we can have the balls. Am I bad? hahaha... Hey, players! Just give them to us. I'm just so happy to see my hubby's smiles because of your balls. We'll just keep them as a remembrance from you. I'll wish you goodluck and hope someday I can see you in the baseball field and receive autographs from you.

See? My hubby was so happy while driving because of the balls. He said we can't bring those balls but still he was so glad that he has them. He hugged me, he held my hands from time to time while driving and when we are at the stop lights, he looked at the balls and laughed. Some balls are still new.

Look! My dog is also interested with the balls.

Aewol Soccer Stadium

What my hubby likes the most in Jeju are the soccer stadium or sports grounds. Most of them have real grasses specially in school playgrounds. One of my hubby's favorite is the Aewol Soccer Stadium. It is wide and it has real grasses. We usually go there on weekends to exercise, play baseball or badminton.

It was under construction when we last go there. They are trying to make it more beautiful and more comfortable and more attractive for players or visitors like us.

The area where you can watch the players playing or just go inside to exercise. There are lots of sports machines inside.

Here are some of the machines that you can use to exercise for free.

Here's the library building where we borrow books. You can just read books if you don't want to exercise, play games or watch sports games.

Next to the building is a gymnasium where we usually play badminton when it is windy outside. If you are interested, you can even join a badminton club.

We love the sports ground except the man who told my hubby to pay if he wants to play soccer. Ouch! Is that true? He must be crazy! I think that guy wants to make money from us. The stadium is for public use so never pay if you happen to meet that guy. That's what my hubby told him and he didn't say anything. We'll pay if we'll use the lights like those who practice soccer but we never did.

Korea Team for the Round of 16

Go Go Korea Team for the round of 16. Korea defeated Nigeria last night. The game was 3:30 a.m. and people of Korea cheered for the team. The score was 2-2 but Korea won because of their position. One win, one lose and one tie so they won even when they have the same score. We waited for the game to start. My hubby invited me to go out and take a walk so we can't sleep. While walking we saw the building that there weren't many lights on but when the clock struck 3, the lights on the other building started to turn on. There were many people woke up to see the match.

Nigeria Team made the first goal so we were worried, sleepy, and hopeless but then Korea team made a goal so we weren't sleepy anymore. It was a breath-taking game so couldn't realize that it was already morning when it finished. We were so happy and we go to bed and felt tired to wake up for work.

My hubby made his promise to buy pizza if Korea wins the game. He ordered two pans of pizza in the office and we celebrated the victory of Korean Team. Haja Haja Fighting! Dae han min guk!

Korea is not Disappointed

Last Thursday was the World Cup match between Korea and Argentina. Korea didn't expect much on this game because everyone knows how good Argentina players are. But Koreans gave their support for Korean Team. Thousands of people gathered together in some places to cheer for the athletes.

My hubby and I had to work until 10p.m. at that time but then we left the office before 8 because the game started at 8:30. Usually, it only takes us 10-15 minutes from work to our home but at that time it took us more than 30 minutes because of the traffic. We were in a hurry because my hubby ordered chicken in the afternoon and told them to deliver it at 8:20. We arrived home at 8:15 but there was no chicken coming. At 9, my hubby called the restaurant and the owner said sorry because there was a lot of order. The chicken came after a few minutes. Argentina already made goals at that time so my hubby told me to just enjoy the chicken.

Korea Team lost with the score of 4-1 but Koreans don't lose their hope for their coming match next week.

Jeonju Worldcup Stadium

Whenever we go to another City and passed Jeonju, the Jeonju Worldcup Stadium always catches out attention. We can see it even when you are just on the expressway. It's so beautiful specially at night. Last time, hubby and I decided to visit the eye-catching stadium.

The stadium is very close to the toll gate. As soon as you paid and passed the tollgate, you can already see it. Here's view on the way to the worldcup stadium.

Even when it was too cold, we tried to get in but we couldn't find any open door at the entrance. They were all closed. We saw one and went in but that was a Sauna at Jeonju Worldcup Stadium. We thought there was a match to see because of many cars parked at the parking lot but we couldn't see any. Were they all Sauna customers? We can't say.

Korean Basketball League

During our vacation (that was last week), we went to Jeonju to watch Basketball game. It's my first time to watch Korean Basketball League. I don't like sports but my hubby does. But I don't think he likes basketball because I can't see him watching it on tv. One time, we talked about going to the Basketball Stadium so we did.

We arrived there early so here's what we saw. The rehearsal and the players stretching before they will face the battle.

They show on tv so here are the reporters and writers.

Before the opening, the dancers/cheerers show their talents. They are so sexy and cute.

During the game, that I always take a photo of them so the security guard came to me and asked me not to take a picture during the game. hehehe...

I had so much fun watching the game specially the audiences. The stadium was full.

There were also lots of events like games, raffles, dances, free stuffs, and here's what I like the most. The proposal time!

I enjoyed the game so much. It's really far different when you watch on tv and in person. Even when you don't like sports, you will feel like joining the cheering for the players. I don't have favorite players but I cheered for KCC Jeonju. KCC Jeonju Fighting!

By the way, the game started at night so we decided to have Shabu Shabu before we entered the basketball stadium.

I want to play golf

My father in law plays golf in his spare time. A few weeks ago when he came here to attend a wedding, he stayed here during the weekend. We attended a wedding ceremony on Saturday and visited his friend the next day. On our way home he saw this golf club and told us to drop by for a while. He went into the office to inquire while me and hubby waited at the parking lot. We waited and waited until we got bored so i got off the car and took some pictures. hehehe...

My hubby likes most sports but doesn't golf. He asked me what is interesting about playing golf. I remember when hubby was watching sports games on tv, my father in law asked him what was interesting about those games (soccer and baseball). Well, every man has its own taste. What is fun to you is not fun to others and vice versa.

Anyway, here are the pictures that i've taken. Whenever i look at them, i got interested in learning this sport someday. Maybe, several years later if i will learn with hubby, but that's impossible i think. hehehehe...

Namhae Sports Park

Besides from the sea and beautiful landscapes, one of the famous tourist attractions in Namhae is the sports park which is one of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan training sites. Namhae Sports Park is equipped with foot ball ground(lawn ground), baseball ground, basketball ground, central park, indoor swimming pool, and Namhae Sports Hotel.

Here's the Namhae bridge that connects Namhae Island with mainland Korea in the province of Kyongsangnamdo.

Here's the baseball park where we watch the game for a short time. It wasn't interesting because the players are not good enough.

Here's the view in the park.

Worldcup Stadium

A memorable experience happened when we went to the Worldcup stadium in Daejeon.

When we went inside, there was a man taking some pictures of the stadium and when he went out, he locked the door. He made fun of us! We went around the stadium and looked for an exit but we couldn't find it. We stayed inside for a long time waiting for someone to come in, or at least a worker but nobody came.

We were hopeless and there was no choice but to call 112. Yes! Hubby called the police. hehehe... After a few minutes, the officer came and opened the door. Whenever we think of that experience, we just laughed. Well, that's a memorable experience, isn't it?
