Samjengi Greentea Plantation

Last time, we visited one of hubby's aunt who lives near Boseong Green tea plantation and we had a little talk with her son, my hubby's cousin. While we were talking about their place he also mentioned that there's another plantation but not famous to tourists because they don't know about it, yet. He invited us to go there and riding my hubby's car, he led us to Samjengi.

My hubby said that the plantation is more beautiful than Boseong Greentea Plantation because it's wider and more quiet place. But I think this kind of factory or houses have ruined the view.



I wish that house is mine. Although I don't wanna live there but it's cool to have a rest house like that in the middle of the greentea plantation.



What makes the Samjengi Greentea Plantation beautiful is, it's on the plain unlike Boseong Greentea Plantation, it's on top of the hills. I think samjengi is more relaxing and breathtaking.



Here's the way Samjengi Plantation which is a few kilometers away from Boseong.

Namhae Beach

Near the Namhae Sports Park is the Namhae Beach. It's just a few minutes walk from Namhae Parking lot. After walking around the park, we went to the beach. We couldn't stay longer because it was too cold but I'm sure it's a great place to visit in the summer. It's near the park and hotel so never forget to visit the beach if you happen to visit Namhae. On the right side is this sunset. It was already dark when we arrived there so we were so lucky to see the sunset. But we couldn't wait for the sun to disappear because it was getting dark and it was too cold so we left the place and drove to the ferry terminal (that's for my next post).

The beach is not that beautiful. Besides there's a signboard telling that you can't swim in that area. What is great about it is, it's near the sports park and hotel. I just recommend it just in case that you are staying in the hotel or visiting the park.

Hamdeok Beach

It was our plan to have a trip on the road coast. Our first route was supposed to be the Samyang Black Sand Beach but we missed our way so we ended up to Hamdeok Beach. It was raining when we arrived there so we just went out of the car when we went to the bathroom. We just stayed in the car under the trees.

There were many trees next to it so you you can have shelter when it's summer or when it rains. It's a good place to have a picnic under the trees while enjoying the beach.



It was raining so I couldn't get closer to the beach but just watching the waves and the beautiful view of the sea made me feel relax. The sea is quiet even it rained.



Is it a house? A restaurant? or a lodge that built by the sea? Whatever! I can say that it has a great view.

Gimnyeong Beach

Don't forget to drop by to Gimnyeong Beach when you visit Gimnyeong Maze Park and Manjanggul. The two famous tourist sites are very close to Gimnyeong beach. The beach has a resting area where you can go to the bathroom, have some drinks or snacks, etc. I saw a group tour bus and some cars parked at the resting area when we went to the beach. Even when it's fall, people came to visit the beach.

What's unique about Gimnyeong Beach is the color of the sea. The clear waters are highlighted with cobalt-blue. The water is clear and it has smooth and clean sand.



It's fall here so there's no one swimming at the beach but still there were lots of tourists.



The wind farm is also close here. Can you see the windmill?



A korean man brought his dog at the beach.



The dog must be a beach-lover.

Seopjikoji

Seopjikoji or famous with its name All In House is one of the most famous sites in Jeju Island specially to foreigners. Chinese love this place because their favorite drama like All In is filmed here. Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju-do Island. "Seopji" is the old name for the area, and "Koji" is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land.

Not only all-in is filmed here but also lots of famous korean drama and programs on TV.

Gwagji Beach

Located in Aewol-eup Gwagji-ri, Gwagji Beach is famous specially for foreigners. It is 30 minutes drive from the City so it's the best place to relax. The beach is famous from its good taste of mineral water coming up from under the sea so people long time ago were very thankful for it. But now, the water don't use for drinking. In summer, the water is so cool that every tourists can enjoy swimming.

The beach is also a great place to watch the sunset.





The beach is most famous for its Open-air Public Bath or for Korean, it's called the "Gwamul Nocheontang".



Like open-air public bath, the ladies room is also separated from men's room.

Here's what inside the ladies section. It's more beautiful in the summer because there seems like a waterfall inside.





You can just also relax inside the public bath without taking a bath.



Outside the public bath are figures of black pigs which are famous in Jeju. By the way, you should try black pigs samgyopsal or barbecue if you visit Jeju-do.

Iho Tewoo Beach

We went to Iho Tewoo Beach last Sunday. Iho Tewoo literally translated as "do not pass me by". We were just wondering what it looks like because we always see the sign when we go to Jeju City. It's near the city no wonder why there are many people swimming in the beach. Some are also enjoying playing sand beach balls.



It's summer so it's not surprising to see many people swimming or just visiting some beaches to relax. I don't think it's a good beach to swim or to relax. But the parasols look good. There were so many people and the water is not so clean. But if you're in the city, it's better to visit it.







The beach became more famous because of the great spots where you can pitch tents. So people can enjoy not only camping but also swimming. The best thing about it, is it is open even at night. Here are some Night Regulations:

1. The beach is open at night to the public from July 16 - August 21. Night hours commence at 10p.m. Swimming is only permitted at designated areas.

2. Swimming is probihited whilst consuming food or drink including any alcohol.

3. You should follow tha advice and instructions from the beach's lifeguards.

4. All trash should be disposed of in the appointed trash cans. You should also refrain from any disorderly behavior.





Iho Tewoo is just 10 minutes away from the airport so even you when you just stay at the parking lot, you can enjoy watching the planes coming like what we did.
