What an Adventure

As you see on my previous posts, we are on our vacation. We are planning to travel for a year. We are now here in the Island and I'm still waiting for my hubby's next plan. We are thinking of staying here for a few months or year and move to another place. Where would it be? We don't have any plan, yet. We have traveled to hot countries last year. We've been to many temples and some beaches so I think it would be nice if we go to cold places and deserted area this time. We've been to some Asian countries like Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Nepal, India, and Vietnam and I think it would be great if we also experienced the Central Asia Travel like a tour to Uzbekistan. I really to visit the country because I want to experience the Jeep-safari tour and camel tour where you can stay for a night in the heart of the desert. What an adventure!

There are lots of Uzbek here in Korea and most of them are so beautiful. I think beautiful ladies are seen in Uzbekistan. Girls look perfect. They are tall, pretty, have flawless skin and nice body shape. I know that the country is not only famous for beautiful ladies but also for its unique and wonderful sceneries like mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes and waterfalls. I also can't wait to try the Uzbek cuisine like kebap, manty and lagman.

I heard that Uzbekistan is one of the safest country to visit because people are known for their hospitality, kindness and generosity. Absolutely true because I met many Uzbek and they are so nice. That's why it's included in my list to the countries that I love to visit. I can't wait for my trip to Uzbekistan. I'm sure it will be so much fun and exciting.

Biyang-do

Biyang-do (Biyang Island) is famous for the period of the volcanic activity recorded in the history of Korea, and thus scientifically invaluable. Specially, lava blisters distributed in the northern coast are one of the geologically important volcanic land forms, which is not common in the other parts of Jeju Island. The lava blisters were designated as a natural monument due to scientific significance.

Biyang-do (Island) is located at latitude 33`24`24`N and longitude 126`13`47`E. It is round-shaped and approximately 850m in diameter. In volume 3 of the new edition of Deonggukyeojiseungram (a geography book), it reads in "June 1002, a mountain sprang up in the middle of the sea and at the top of the mountains are four holes, which spewed up red water and stopped in five days. The red water was coagulated to be roof-tile stone." Biyang-do Isle has a record of volcanic activities in the historic age (the Goryeo Dynasty).

It has been said that a Seo first moved to Biyang-ri in the 13th year of the reign of King Gojong in the Goryeo Dynasty. It was also recorded that lookout posts were constructed for the defence of the sea at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty. From this, people must have lived here for a long time before that. On Biyang-do, there are rare volcanic bombs and strang-looking stones that are hard to find in Jeju Island.

From Jeju, you should take a boat at Hallim Port going to the Island. Here's the boat coming from Biyang Island. It's also the boat that we're gonna take going to that Island. On weekdays, you can take a boat at 9a.m. and 3p.m. and on weekends, there are three lines, 9:00a.m., 12:00 noon and 3:00p.m. From Biyang-do, you can go back to Jeju at 9:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. (only on weekends) and 3:15p.m.

After 15 minutes, we arrived at our destination (Biyang-do).

The drama "Bom Nal" or Spring Day was filmed in this island.

It is a small island so there are only few people living there. I heard from the kids that there are only 4 students in their school. Of course there are private residences temporarily taking lodgers or called Minbak in Korea. There also few restaurants and stores.

It's so nice to take a long walk in a small road along the beach.

Look! Isn't it beautiful?

The picture above was taken when we climbed up here. You can climb up the mountain but we thought it wasn't a good idea so we went down and just follow the road near the beach.

The island is getting more beautiful as you keep walking. In less than 2 hours, you can visit the whole island.

Some people go to Biyang-do for fishing because the island is known for good fishing grounds and sea-corals.

Payday Loans

Yesterday, my co-worker asked if my boss already came. She wanted to get cash advance because she needed money for her daughter's tuition fee. I thought all Koreans have savings. I didn't know that some people like her sometimes need to get cash advance because she doesn't have money to pay for her daughter's school fee. I can't believe it but it sometimes happens not only to her whose husband is a farmer but also to some people who make much money. As we know, it's hard to avoid some emergency situations so in times of need we need someone to lean on. But there are times that we are shy to depend to others so all we need is to get a quick payday loans.

They say that a real friend is someone who is with you in times of need so if you need a true friend, online payday loans is the one that you can depend on. It's more than a friend because sometimes your friend doesn't have money to lend you but payday loan is there for you anytime. You can receive the money that you need at the same day that's why it's called the same day payday loans. Don't make a hard time because payday loans can make your life easy!

Jeju Green Tea Farm or Nokchamiro Gongwon or Green Tea Maze is another place where you can enjoy the nature beauty of Jeju Island. As soon as you enter the admission area, you can already feel the comfort, silence and peace of mind. If you're looking for a quiet place, it's the best for you. Even when you just sit down at the tea shop while drinking tea, you will feel comfortable.

Here's where you can sit down and drink tea. Tea is free! It is included in the admission fee.

And here's the tea. You can drink as much as you want. You can drink as soon as you arrived at the place and if you can't drink all, you can leave it for a while and drink when you come back. But don't forget to tell the management. Anyway, they are very kind.

Here's the view that you can enjoy while enjoying your tea. And you can also go down and visit the area when you're done with your tea.

Here's the maze. It's really hard to find the exit so be smart. In my case, I got dizzy and I couldn't find the way out. I couldn't even go back because I was tired so I trespassed and went out.

Jeoji Oreum

Joji Oreum or Parasitic Volcano has one of the most beautiful forest in Jeju. It measures 390m in height and 1540 meters in width. Jeju Olle Route 13 spread along this Jeoji Oreum - its top and circumference. "Jeoji" is a name of the village in Jeju and "Oreum" means climbing.

You will never get tired because it's cool and it has beautiful sightseeings. You will enjoy every steps of your walk. There are lots of trees and there are even lots of raspberries that you can pick and eat while taking a walk. It's just a small mountain and it's not steep so you won't get much tired.

View while taking a walk.

Jeoji Oreum is a famous place for taking a walk, climbing, exercising, and traveling because you'll see the beauty of Jeju when you're on top of the parasitic volcano. Here's the view from the top.

After reaching the top, it's time to go down to see the crate of the volcano. It's the steepest of the volcano but you'll love it. It's also the most tiring area when you climb up the stairs.

Here's the crate.

This is the area at the entrance of Jeoji Oreum. So, you can take a rest here or exercise with the machine before or after climbing up.

Muin Cafe Sanchek

It's my first time to go to an uninhabited cafe. A cafe where there is no owner. Just make your own coffee, wash your cup and leave your payment. It's interesting, isn't it? Yes, you can see Muin Cafe or Uninhabited Cafe in Jejudo. My hubby and I went to Muin Cafe Sanchek yesterday and it was really cool.

You feel very comfortable as soon as you enter the coffee shop. There were two couples inside and they both look very sweet. They were free because there was no one to stare at them.

There were lots of notes, memos, letters, cards posting on the wall. I read some of them. Some are promises or letters to their loveones and others are letters to their parents.

My hubby and I had brewed coffee for only $2. My hubby took a cup, poured some coffee and put some syrup. There's a sink behind those coffee makers. It is where you clean your cups after using them.

Then before we left we insert our payment here. Btw, I recommend to bring small bills because you can't get change. Or if you are kind enough or rich you can just leave your change. hehe..

And here's a message from the owner.

Welcome to Muin Cafe Sanchek.
What is a Muin Cafe? There's no owner and the customer will be the owner so feel free to make your own coffee and pay before you leave.
What is the way on how to use Muin Cafe? First, don't be confused that there's no owner! Just feel comfortable on your seat. Get your mug, choose your drinks and pour into your mug and drink deliciously. Before you leave, wash your mug and leave your payment in the box.
If you feel uncomfortable please call ****.

This one is also interesting.
I'm so grateful with these Best 5 Guests
1. The hajuma (old woman) who brought her friends to the cafe because she said the coffee is delicious.
2. The man who doesn't have small bill just paid and left his change.
3. The pretty lady who knows that the coffee is organic.
4. Customers who take pictures and put in their blogs.
5. The group tour driver who brought the tourists in the shop.

Bad Customers
1. May 18th, the customer who took the massage machine. (Do your shoulders feel comfortable now?)
2. May 14th, the person who took the mask and 2 rabbit dolls.
Sorry, I can't see the rest. It's too small and blurred.

Jejudo or Jeju Island

We are now in Jejudo. The only special autonomous province of South Korea and the country's largest island. In Korean, do is the phonetic trancription of two distinct hanja (Chinese characters) meaning "island" and "province". However, Jejudo generally refers to the island, while Jeju-do refers to the government administrative unit. Jejudo or Jeju Island is divided into two cities. The Jeju City and Soegwipo City. The people have developed a culture and language that are distinct from those of mainland Korea. Me, that has come from the mainland is hard to understand their language. It's a little bit similar but hard to listen and understand them.

You'll see lots of dol hareubang ("stone grandfather") carved from a block of basalt in Jejudo. Perhaps it is the most distinct cultural artifact. Jejudo is famous for honeymooners. Jeju's temperate climate, natural scenery, and beaches make it a popular tourist destination for South Koreans as well as visitors from other parts of East Asia.

Do you love cycling?

Summer! Summer! It's getting hotter now a days but it doesn't mean that we don't need to exercise or we don't need to do some sports. Of course we need to exercise for our health and sports give us enjoyment to our lives and at the same time maintain our good health. What's your favorite sports and what do you enjoy the most? In my case, I don't like any sports. I love traveling and I think it's one of the best exercise. When I travel, I take a walk and sometimes ride a bike. I remember my trip in Cambodia where me and my hubby rented bikes and visited most of the temples in Siem Riep including Angkor Wat, the most famous temple in Cambodia. I think most backpackers do the same thing. They rent bikes to visit the temples because it's cheap and it's a great experience.

As you know, it's too hot in Cambodia so we were too tired and thirsty. In Angkor Wat, there were lots of vendors where they force you to buy some things specially drinks in a very high price so it would be better to bring some water or drinks when you are planning to visit the temples. Or if you love biking, it's better to have a Camelbak Pack. It's too comfortable and I think it's too nice to see someone with a camelbak pack. Don't you think so?

If you love cycling and want to look cool or fascinating, I recommend you to get a Camelbak Hydration Pack. It's not only because you will look great but also you need it to avoid dehydration while you are riding a bike. Also, it can help you avoid some accidents and your journey won't be bothered. You don't need to stop to drink because Camelbak Hydration Pack allowed you to drink without taking your hands off of the handlebars in technical terrain.

Btw, you can't only use camelbak when you go cycling but also for hiking, running, snowboarding and skiing. So, if you're an athlete, like doing things outdoor or a soldier, I think you will need one. They are very affordable and free shipping on orders over $25. So choose your own camelbak now! There are over a hundred items that you can choose from. You may also want to buy for your kids because there are also camelbak for kids. I'm sure they will look great with camelbak, besides it's also for their own safetiness and for their health. And how about buying for two. One for you and another one for your kid. I can't imagine you and your kid wearing them. Oh, how sweet and cute you are!

My Savings from Piggy Banks

I opened my two piggy banks. One is for 10 and 50won and another one for 100 and 500won. I have them for almost a year. Whenever I have coins in my purse, I put them inside. I didn't pay much attention about saving some coins. I just insert them in my piggy bank when I clean my bag or I need to lighten it.

I can't imagine that I can save more than $75 for coins. Actually, my hubby sometimes take some of them when he has no money for his cigarettes. haha... If my hubby didn't take some of them, maybe I could save around 100 bucks.

I'm glad that I found it

I'm on my vacation now and I met a foreigner in the hotel. We had a little talk about my travel to some countries and he asked me why I travel a lot. I said because my husband and I love traveling. We really do! As you know, we've been to different countries and one of my favorites is Australia. I enjoyed my stay there and we are planning to go back there so I'm checking the fares to last minute flights. I think they have the best fares to most popular hot spots in Asia, Australia, America, Europe and other part of the World.

Besides from the cheap flights, they also offer cheap accommodations. I'm glad that my hubby cancelled our reservation on our flight to Canada because we found out a better site where we can save a lot. Can you imagine saving up to 70% on flights and hotels? Wow! Our vacation will be more fun because we can have more allowance.

Anyway, I don't have to worry about the expenses for expensive hotels because last minute accommodation have great offers for travelers like us.

Orange Ferry

I've been to Jejudo a few years ago and we took a plane at that time. This time, we traveled by boat called Orange Ferry. It's because we had to go with our car.

I don't know if there's a connection with the orange fruit because Jeju Island is famous with oranges, tangerines and hallabong (big and sweet oranges). It's my first time to travel by boat so I was very excited. The boat was fast and it took 2 hours from Jangheung to Jejudo. I enjoyed at first but became dizzy later so I slept.

The boat has a small store inside where you can buy snacks and some drinks including beer.

Actually, you will be tired watching the water for a long time. It's great at first but after an hour, you will be dizzy watching the sea and waves. So in that case, you can watch drama or interesting program on a big screen TV.

The top at the back of the boat is opened for 15 minutes to see the beautiful view of the sea. Most people are spending their time taking pictures. I went up but came down after a while because it seems like all people in the boat came out to see the beautiful beach.

Be wise

No one knows what will happen in the future. Nobody can predict the future. So we must be ready always. We are in good health today and we can't say that we are healthy forever. No matter how careful you are, it's hard to avoid some accidents. And diseases suddenly appeared without any expectations so we need to assure that we have something to depend on in times of crisis. If you are smart enough, you should have an income protection insurance to be prepared for your future and your family. Be wise! Income protection insurance gives an assurance for you and for your family.

Accommodation in Jeju Island

We came to Jeju without making a reservation. We just took a boat because we came here with our dog and car. It was already late afternoon when we arrived at the city so we decided to find a place to stay. We went to the city and saw the Prime Motel. It looks good outside so my hubby went to the counter and asked the rate. It was about $40 so we decided to stay there for a night. Here's the room.

And the bathroom. It has a big bathroom and it is separated from the room. The room has two doors. The main door where the bathroom is, and another door separated from the bedroom. It's nice and it's safe.

Btw, we came inside with our dog. Of course most hotel don't accept dogs but I put my dog in the box and carried it. The management didn't notice about it. I just hid my dog in the box.

Our next destination is Canada

We were supposed to travel to Canada. We made a reservation last month but we were at the waiting list. There was no plane ticket available, so we had to wait for someone to cancel their reservation before we could buy our ticket. The flight was fully booked until the 20th of this month so we just decided to cancel our reservation. So instead of traveling to Canada this year, we are planning to travel next year. We're going to travel for a year so I'm looking forward to it. I've heard a lot about Canada from my relatives and friends and I know how much they love the country and I'm sure I will do too! I can't wait for my Canada Holidays.

My friend who is living in Toronto is inviting me to stay in her house during my vacation in Canada. I suggested it to my hubby and he said that it's very complicated to live with someone because there's no privacy and you have to consider everyone. I agree with him, so instead of staying with my friend's house, I think staying in one of the Hotels in Toronto is much better. Specially now that I've found out the best hotel in Toronto. The most comfortable and affordable hotel in Toronto. Just thinking about it makes me feel like flying to Canada right away.

My hubby said that our first destination is Vancouver then move from one place to another. But I'm planning to visit my friends in Alberta, Toronto and Ontario and they said that we have to take another plane to reach their places. I was worried at first but everything made easy through the fly drive holidays where we can get cheap airfares air fares with all major airlines. We can even hire a car for a very affordable price. Wow! It's so wonderful! I can't wait to visit the fabulous places in Canada. My hubby's favorite place. Of all the places that he has been to, he said Canada is the most memorable place for him so he's planning to go back there again. And of course, with me, this time! I love it!
