Hello guys! thanks for visiting my site. We are now here in Vietnam. We came here last Saturday and i'm enjoying my stay here although it rains everyday. But not heavy rain and doesn't take long so we can still hang out using an umbrella that we bought on our first day here.
We're supposed to stay in Ho Chi Minh for a week but because of the hot weather, we only stayed there for two days and moved to Dalat which has a cool weather and took us 8 hours by bus. Most people wearing long sleeves shirt because it's sometimes cold specially in the morning and evening.
In Ho Chi Minh, we only visited the War Remnants Museum, department store, market, and some parks. In Dalat, we visited the flower garden, Dalat market, Dalat University, evening market, Xuan Huong lake, Crazy house, and Valley of Love. I'm gonna show you some pictures of them when i come back from my vacation.
Btw, we'll go back to Ho Chi Minh before we'll fly to Australia.

Teacher's Day
It's teacher's day today. It's not a holiday, of course. hehehe.... I received some presents from my students. I got a korean fan, pens, pencils, diary, pocket notebook, vitamin C and letters. I was touched when i received and read the letters. One of my students that i like the most in that class told me that she would give me a present tomorrow but i said, she doesn't have to and study harder is the special gift that i need from her. She just smiled but after class, she went home and came back again just to give her gift to me. She's so cute and sweet! She's the one who gave me a cute character pen and a diary. It's just perfect to jot down my activities during my vacation.
I saw some students who were proud carrying some gifts to give to their teachers. Some of them gave carnations, roses, breads, gifts, fruits, and to those who's parents running a restaurant sent some food. Even when we were having class, the director called us to come in the office just to eat some food sent by students' parents. It was a real feast at work.
One of my students said that he woke up at 6a.m. this morning and went to school with his classmates. They had a surprise party for their teacher. He said they also bought a cake the night before that day. Wow~ i was amazed how students and parents prepared for this event.

A dream vacation home
The weather is getting nicer everyday. Summer is finally here. I like summer because i love going to the beach on the weekend and during vacation. And this coming vacation, going to one of the famous beaches is included in our plan. It's one of my dreams to buy a home and live near the beach. A dream home with an ocean view so i got interested in this Gold Coast Realty which helps investors realize their dream of owning Nicaragua real estate. Nicaragua has hundreds of miles of beaches identical to the California Coastline and is one of the most beautiful and safest countries in the world.

Buddha's Birthday
Today is another holiday here. This day is called Seokga tansini, meaning "the day of Buddha's birthday" or Bucheonim osin nal meaning "the day when Buddha arrived". Lotus lanterns cover the entire temple throughout the month which are often flooded down the street. You see the lanterns hanging on the trees.
I wish every Monday is holiday. hehehe... My mother in law invited us to go to the mountain but hubby was sleepy. We got up early this morning. It's my first time to get up at 5a.m. I was thirsty so i got up to drink some water and then i saw that my hubby was awake, too. We decided to visit my mother in law and had breakfast there. After breakfast, we went back home and slept again because we were so sleepy. hehehe...
We got up again at past 12 and had lunch then we played badminton and got some exercise. I'm gonna tell you about it next time and show you some pictures.

Parents' Day
Today is Parents' Day. In Korea, Parents' Day is celebrated every May 8th of the year, just three days after Children's Day. Unlike in other countries, the celebration is not divided into a Mother's Day and Father's Day.
Since yesterday, i saw lots of carnation flowers in the market, shops, and some people on the bus were carrying them. They usually buy and give carnations in advance. Yesterday, my students asked me if i can dismiss the class 10 minutes earlier because they had to buy some presents for their parents. I didn't want but they begged me so i let them leave 5 minutes than our usual finished time.
Because i couldn't meet my Parents in law today so i just called them and said sorry for not visiting them in this kind of occasion. My mother in law said, just hearing my voice would be enough for them. Actually, i couldn't sleep last night thinking of what to say and when i got up this morning i dialed the phone and i finally felt relieved after hearing my mom in law's words. Thanks~
To my Parents and Parents In Law! Happy Parents' Day! I wish you a good health, a happy and a long life.

Unification Park
Here's the park that i have mentioned in my former post entitled long drive. It is called the Unification Park. We just dropped by here to take a rest and nobody was there except us. I think the park is made for the people to take a rest when they got tired in their long trip. It is located in the middle of two towns.
When we were about to leave, the KBS van came. I don't who was inside and what their purpose was. I also wondered why they stopped there. I even didn't look back if there was another car coming with them. Do you think they also stopped there to take a rest? or they used the place for a scene? Well....

Children's Day
It's holiday today because of Children's Day. Most Korean parents are always busy so it's their turn to give time to their children on this day. Because it is holiday that's why we had to do the event for the students in advance. Last Friday, we had the event called "Dallant day". Kids collect some points and they will use them when Dallant day comes. The dallants serve as money. We give some points to the student who is kind, did a good job, studied hard, did the homework well and if they won in the game. We also deduct some points if they did the opposite. Students are very happy and very proud when they receive some points.
The night before the event, we prepared some stuffs to sell for the students. We stayed in the office until we didn't finish preparing everything except the food that we had to prepare during the event of course. I was in charge to sell the stationeries and toys with one of my co-workers. Here are the stuffs that we sold.
Some teachers were in charge of the food. They sold sandwiches and tokkpokki with juice. Other teachers were giving some presents. Yes, everyone was very busy and we were all tired after, so my boss bought dinner for us. We went to the japanese restaurant and had raw fish. After dinner, they went to noraebang (karaoke bar) but i went home with the other teacher. I couldn't stay late because i had to go out with hubby the next morning.

Long drive
Yesterday, i went for a drive with hubby. The weather was nice and it was really great to go out and get some fresh air. After the long cold weather, i didn't feel the air in spring because it feels like it's already summer. It was 30 degrees temperature yesterday and it was really hot so i told hubby to turn on the aircon in his car for the first time of this year.
We didn't have any particular place in mind so we just went out for a drive. We drove slowly to get fresh air and when we see a great place to rest then we get off the car.
Here's a nice road to go for a drive. The curve road. You have to climb up and down the mountain. Can you see the motorcycle? It looks wonderful but i was terrified that he would fall.
How about this unique store?
We also saw a big lake. There were people fishing so i told hubby to go back there someday but he said the water is dirty to catch fish. hehehe...
It was around 2p.m when we got hungry so we went to the restaurant to eat hangari daejigalbi. We also stayed in the park and that's for my next post. We came home around 6p.m. and that was really a long drive.
